ISABELLA K. CANCINO
BIO
Isabella K. Cancino (1995) is a graphite artist who lives and creates her work in Riverside, CA. Being exposed to art and classic children's literature at a young age, Cancino began finding her artistic style in what became her obsession with drawing while aiming to embody the same classic feel as illustrators from the books she loved.
As a self-taught artist, Isabella uses her many characters to tell a continuous story that plays with personal emotions and lonely themes and narratives. The cold graphite embraces her characters while they get into their mischief and ongoing dilemmas. The drawings leave room for the audience to question what is going on? Cancino creates a body of work that she hopes both children and adults can relate to, sympathize with, and even laugh with at times.
