PEDRO HOZ
BIO
Pedro Pablo Hoz Domínguez (Málaga, September 10, 2000) describes himself as a surrealist painter. Self-taught and coming from a family environment with no artistic background, he is greatly influenced by his hometown, the lives of the painters and the magic of the Mediterranean. His work is based on his own imagery and focuses on compositions made up of anthropomorphs and other organic figures. Despite fleeing from concept and explanation, his work shows influences from Flemish art to Dadaism.
His main inspiration are artists such as George Condo, Picasso, Dalí, El Bosco and Daniel Richter.
Despite his age, he is expanding his artistic career at a great pace, presenting his work in South Korea, Miami, Mexico, France, different cities in Spain and being part of the team of artists of VLAB.
His most common mediums are larger canvases and oil paintings, but the artist also practices what he describes as the origin of his artistic interest, paper and pencil.
