JAVI GONZALEZ BURGOS
BIO
Javi Gonzalez Burgos was born in Rosario and raised in Buenos Aires Argentina, 1974. He currently lives in Málaga, Costa Del Sol, Spain.
Graduated from Graphic Design and Audiovisual producer, Javier started doing collaborations with Disney Asia in exhibitions such as “Disney 23 Mickey Brand Halo” and “Monster University Lecture” both held at Times Square and Langham Place, Hong Kong, he has lately also collaborated with Nickelodeon Asia for the “Bob Sponge 20 years celebration” in Beijing and Shenyang.
"My work has a dreamy quality to it, it's a bit bittersweet. It has a childish side, but it's not totally funny. It has a little bit of happiness and a little bit of sadness," states the artist.
"My characters generally appear without any background and that is something that sometimes I have been asked to do and that I refuse to do because I like the character itself to be the story, that you look at it and it sends a direct message. What you see is what there is, there is nothing else to distract from the main character. Generally he may be with some other secondary object that makes him act in a certain way or exhibit himself in a certain way or feel in a certain way. But the rest doesn't matter" -Javi Gonzalez Burgos.
